Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is the Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter as well as a mixed martial artist competing within the flyweight section in the UFC. She is the elder sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's fight sport career started with her debut as a Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007, a medal of bronze in 2008 and the gold medal in 2011. Then she won the title of IFMA Amateur Muaythai World Champ in the year 2016. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in 2003. She won the WKC K-1 World Championship 2012 for Light Welterweight along with the Lightweight Lion Fight World Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina defeated Isa Tudblad Keskikangas in her last match at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimity. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut came in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She prevailed in the second-round TKO as well as winning her following two bouts at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003, accumulating a record of three-three. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA to work on her kickboxing, and she came back with Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui with a unanimous decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by an unanimous vote. She left the club and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her striking skills that are superior to Nievera when she clinched by her knees against her body. In the aftermath of this win Antonina received the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina took part in her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi with a split decision fight following her first fight via unanimous decision. Antonina rebounded from her loss to knock out Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned her second fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn Cookagian, and defeated Ariane Lipski's three bouts.
